Frank slipped away on the morning of Saturday, 8th March 2008, in his 83rd year.

He was survived by his five childern, his dearest daughter Jean, also Mary, Frances, Elizabeth and his son, John. He also left his ten granchildren, Elizabeth, Frank, Jane, Tim, Jane, Ann-Marie, Beth, Kelly, Elizabeth, Kevin, Kathryn and Karen. Along with his thirteen great grandchildren, and his wee pal Kim, the Jack Russell.

Frank was a true Renfrew man. He lived and worked here all of his days. Some may remember him as theCoal-man and others as Frank Pass the builder. Those who loved him remember his as the best man in the world.

He shared sixty four long and cherished years with his beloved wife and best friend Liz, who he absolutely adored. He was heartbroken when they were seperated by her death in 2003 and was never the same without her.

He was a humble, quiet man who was someone we all admired. Frank was a man of few words, but when hedid speak..everyone listened. He had a brilliant and sometimes wicked sense of humour and a smile that would light up the room. He knew the true meaning and importance of life... to love and to be loved in return. Money and possesions meant nothing to him, only the love of his family and dearest Liz.

He did his time, alongside all the other young men in the army, in WW2, He was posted out in Egypt where he met fellow soldiers that he would stay friends with the whole of his life. When he came back home to sunny scotland, he spent the rest of his day's providing for his growing family who he lived for. He was a true grafter in every sense of the word, who would do absolutely anything for anyone if they needed help. He worked hard every day of his life, until his body wouldn't allow him anymore.

Frank was a good and a kind man, who lead a good and a decent life. He is dearly missed by all of us, each and every day.

An Honest Man

AN HONEST man here lies at rest
As e’er God with his image blest;
The friend of man, the friend of truth,
The friend of age, and friend of youth:
Few hearts like his, with virtue warm’d,
Few heads with knowledge so informed:
If there’s another world, he lives in bliss;
If there is none, he made the best of this.
